Master’s Midterm Presentations
Four first-year master’s students (M1) gave their midterm presentations. Although this is a busy season with job hunting and classes, each of them made steady progress in their research. We look forward to seeing what achievements they will accomplish in the coming year. Great job, everyone!

The 38th Autonomous Decentralized Systems Symposium
The 38th Autonomous Decentralized Systems Symposium was held, and Prof. Kobayashi, Prof. Hayakawa, Mr. Kasahara, Mr. Wada, Mr. Sonoyama, Mr. Okura, and Mr. Murakami participated as presenters. Since the symposium was held at the Hamamatsu Campus, our lab members also supported the event as staff. It was a valuable opportunity to listen to the professors’ presentations and gain inspiration. Thank you to all presenters and staff members for your hard work.

Lab Interview
The student editorial members of the Robotics Society of Japan visited our laboratory for an interview. We had the opportunity to talk about our research topics, the challenges involved, and various aspects of our work. Post-Midterm Presentation & Techno Festa Celebration
We held a small celebration in the lab to mark the end of the midterm presentations and the Techno Festa. In the first half, we played soccer on the field, and in the second half, we enjoyed board games and other activities. It was a great chance for everyone—including those who don’t usually exercise—to relax and refresh.

IROS 2025 in Hangzhou, CHINA
Mr. Takamori and Mr. Paco from our laboratory participated in IROS 2025, held in Zhejiang Province, China. They had the valuable opportunity to present their work at IROS, one of the top conferences in the field of robotics. It was a great experience for them — we wish them continued success in their future research!

The Open Campus at Shizuoka University’s Hamamatsu Campus was held. Many high school students and their parents visited the Kobayashi–Hayakawa Laboratory’s booth. We hope this event will serve as a helpful reference for those who are about to decide on their future academic paths.

We held a farewell party for Brieuc san, combined with a celebration for the students who completed their midterm presentations. Great work to Brieuc san and all the B4 students! Although Brieuc san was with us for only four months, he made a great effort as a member of the Kobayashi–Hayakawa Laboratory, both in his research and in communicating with other students.
